Kenda's Kyle Kleiman Wins Pro 2 Points Championship in Inaugural Season of Champ Off-Road

With the fall colors richly dripping in gold and reds across the Crandon, Wisconsin countryside, the new Championship Off-Road series capitalized on its last day of racing in 2020 with a true Championship Sunday. The Pro Truck classes all are required to drive on DOT tires, the same tires that are sold to consumers in retail tire stores. The clear winner in the competitive PRO 2 class was Kyle Kleiman, racing on Kenda Klever R/T KR601 tires.

Coming into the weekend, Kleiman was 7 points back of the class leader. After finishing second on Saturday night to shrink the gap to three points, Kyle dominated the field at Crandon International Raceway to win his first race at Crandon and securing his first PRO 2 championship by four points.

While thanking his family, team and sponsors, Kleiman called out the Kenda tires, “The Kenda Klever R/T’s were the difference for me today on a difficult track that was muddy in many sections requiring exceptional traction while equally good in the dry track areas where other tires were unable to maximize acceleration and handling under such diverse conditions. We often run air pressures under 20 psi while making 100 foot jumps without failure. It amazes me to know that these same R/T tires are sold to the consumer at the local Kenda store.”

Kyle Kleiman had never won at Crandon. Defending Pro 2 champion and points leader Keegan Kincaid entered the weekend with eleven wins at his hometown track. Kleiman picked the right time to grab his first class win at the track known as the Big House.

Kenda embraces short course off-road racing as it allows us to race DOT tires - the same tires sold to consumers in retail stores. This racing series provides a rare environment for fans to see how the products they can buy in store compete directly against other brands. Additionally, it demonstrates the extreme performance and durability in conditions that the average truck owner will appreciate for the extreme performance – Kenda promotes these features through our Podium2Pavement TM  message. Michael Higgs, who manages this program commented, “Kenda provides Premium Performance at a Value Price and demonstrates the Klever Triple Threat – great performance, looks and value!”
